Friday Night: The Dream and the Horoscope

7th November, 2014 (Friday) 7:30-9:30pm

A way I consider dreams and astrology is that astrology is macroscopic, whereas the dream is microscopic; therefore, the combination of these two ways of seeing can be exceptionally revealing. Astrologically we can represent both ways with two horoscopes: the natal horoscope and the dream chart. The dream chart is a horoscope cast for the approximate time of the dream; this is generally when the individual awakes from the dream or their best estimation at the time of the dream. The dream chart is the transits to the natal chart so the outer planets reveal the larger life context of the dream.  But it is the faster moving planets, especially the Moon, and the angles that often highlight aspects of the natal chart that are relevant to the dream. Since the dream chart uncannily corresponds with the characters and plot of the dream we will explore how the transits to our natal horoscope are reflected by the dream images.

Saturday: An Astrological Guide to a Fulfilling Vocation

8th November, 2014 (Sat) 10:30am-5:30pm

A vocational analysis of the horoscope includes an examination of various astrological symbols and patterns.  This includes the trinity of houses 2, 6 & 10 known as the ‘houses of substance’, where we forge our place in the world, discovering our sense of worth and value, work and ultimate vocation. During this seminar we will explore these houses in depth along with other vocational factors inherent in the horoscope, such as the lunar nodes and angular planets as well as addressing timing in a vocational analysis.

Sunday: Fate and The Family: patterns through the generations

9th November, 2014 (Sun) 10:30am-5:30pm

Family has a fated quality as profound patterns continuously recur through familial lines, which we are often compelled to repeat yet implored to redeem. Through horoscopic patterns in family members’ charts we can trace these inherited patterns. During the seminar we will explore family fate, the shadow and dysfunction that are passed through the family. We will also examine ways in which these patterns can be viewed astrologically through family charts and how these usually manifest through the astrological symbols. As well we will draw on ways to use the family stories, images and patterns in our astrological work.
